Marilyn Mulford
Producer/Director/Sound Recordist Marilyn Mulford is an award-winning documentary filmmaker who has made numerous films about race, ethnic diversity, and art as a way to highlight political issues and preserve culture. Her most recent documentary, “Archeology Of Memory: Villa Grimaldi”, was completed in 2009 and aired on the ITVS series “Global Voices.” It won the audience award at the Mill Valley Film Festival, Special Jury Award in the Arts at the Mendocino Film Festival, nominated for an IDA music award, and was voted top- ten by audiences at the Vancouver International Film Festival. In 1994 she Produced/directed “Freedom On My Mind”, which was nominated for an Academy Award in the feature documentary category in 1995, awarded the Grand Jury Prize for Best documentary at the Sundance Film Festival, and the Distinguished Documentary Achievement International Documentary Association (IDA). It aired on the National PBS series ‘The American Experience”. From 1985-1989 she Produced and Directed the award-winning “Chicano Park”, a feature documentary that won a Gold Award at the Houston International Film Festival, a Gold Award at Chicago International Film Festival, and ‘Best of California’ at the National Educational Film Festival, and is on the Astlan Film Institute’s list of top 50-Chicano films. It aired on national PBS on the LBP series “Voces”.

Aleixo Gonçalves
Born in Santiago, Chile, Aleixo Gonçalves is an experienced director and editor in both documentaries and television. Mr. Gonçalves boasts over ten years of experience as a television director for TV Chile, where he developed a number of music and travel programs and short documentaries including “Tiempo Libre”, “Lo Que Queda Del Paraíso”, “Arquitectura Religiosa”, and “Frecuencia Latina” . Since moving to the United States in 2005, Mr. Gonçalves has drawn on his television experience to launch a promising career as an independent filmmaker. Recently, he has worked for numerous documentaries including “Archeology of Memory” , “Trimpin: The Sound of Invention” , “Ragiñ Epu Mapu: Voices of Elders & Youth” , and “Awakening from Sorrow ”. He is currently working as editor and post-production coordinator on the first season of “The North Pole”, a political comedy web series, produced and written by Josh Healy, directed by Yvan Iturriaga, about three best friends born and raised in North Oakland, CA, who struggle to stay rooted as their neighborhood becomes a hostile environment.
